FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions.

*How much do you charge?
I specialise in bespoke entertainment and every event I work is different, therefore it is impossible to offer a set price. Factors such as the location, how long you require my services for and whether you've chosen any of my add on services can all affect the price.

*Do we need to pay a deposit?
Yes, I ask for a non-returnable booking fee to secure your date. This can be paid by bank transfer, cheque or in cash. I will send you written confirmation of your booking and any part-payments made. The booking fee is deducted from your final balance and I will send you an invoice with instructions on paying the remainder of your balance. I am agreeable to you paying off your balance in instalments should you prefer and more and more clients are opting to do this - especially for weddings.

*The venue have asked for your PAT and PLI documents..
That's fine, please let me know the contact details for the person at your venue and I will happilly forward them both documents via e-mail or in person should I need to do a site visit.

*Can we meet you before we book?
Absolutely! This is something I encourage. It is very important for you to choose the correct person for your entertainment. A meeting can be beneficial for me too. I have met clients at their venue and have even been invited to their homes if preferred. There is no cost incurred for this meeting and no obligation on your part to book. It is essential you hire the very best person, to provide the right service for your occasion and leave nothing to chance.

*How long will it take for you to set up and what will you require at the venue?
Installing, setting up, presenting and testing equipment can range from the very minimum of one hour for fairly basic parties and up to two hours for more complex ones. Contributing factors would be how accessible your venue is and how much equipment I need to bring. If you have opted for any add on services then extra time would be needed to set those up too.  An estimation of set up time will be advised at the point of booking and should your venue be unfamiliar I will arrange a site visit to assess the set up time involved. I will need a minimum of two, 13-amp UK sockets within 5m of where the equipment is to be placed. Consideration would need to be given in allowing time for dismantling and removing equipment from your venue at the end of your event.

*Can we choose our favourite music?
Yes, I am more than happy to receive a list of your favourite songs. This assists me in creating your bespoke party. I would also encourage preferred music choices from your guests. In the unlikely event I do not have a particular track, I will happilly purchase it, especially if it is something I would play again. Should you forward a really obscure track I don't have - then I would ask you to bring it along with you - I can play out via CD, iPod and USB devices. I am happy to help you build your favourite songs into a playlist - I can work closely with you to do this from my extensive library of music. I will take requests at your event too and do not work from a set play-list.

*What will you wear?
I will present myself as clean, tidy and will dress in accordance with your event. For weddings, black-tie or corporate occasions I will dress in evening wear. I will be smartly dressed for all other family celebrations and will dress more casually in my company embroidered polo top for school discos and children's parties. Please feel free to advise me if your event is fancy dress or any other particular code you would have me adopt - within reason of course, lol!

Should there be any other questions you wish to ask please get in touch - I'm here to help.
